About the position

This opportunity resides with Global Security (GS). Mission Technologies’ Global Security (GS) group comprises live, virtual, constructive (LVC) solutions; fleet sustainment; nuclear and environmental; and Australia business. As a trusted partner to our military customers, HII designs, develops and operates the largest LVC enterprise that prepares warfighters for cross-domain battle. With advanced technologies to enable mission readiness, HII understands that preparation requires full coordination—not readiness in piece-parts. For more than 40 years, the U.S. Navy has entrusted HII to maintain and modernize the vast majority of its fleet. Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate simulation frameworks, performance models, threat models, and command & control (C2) systems
  • Design software that replicates user and system behaviors to test real-world scenarios virtually
  • Create intuitive graphical user interfaces (GUIs) and interactive visualization tools
  • Model dynamic operational environments and conduct trade studies using simulation-based evaluations
  • Provide analytical support for decision-making across alternative system architectures
  • Perform in-depth operational and mission effectiveness analysis
  • Build and refine training models for immersive instructional experiences

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9 years relevant experience
  • Master’s degree with 7 years relevant experience
  • PhD or Juris Doctorate with 4 years relevant experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 13 years relevant experience
  • Strong grasp of user experience design, information architecture, and accessibility standards
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail in fast-paced, agile environments
  • Proficient in C++, Python, and CMake
  • U.S. Citizenship and must have Top-Secret clearance

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in C#, AFSIM and Python desired
  • Experience in US and Allied space enterprise position
  • Three (3) years of software development project management experience
  • Experience in deploying software and obtaining authorities to operate on SIPRNet
