We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join the International Technology team. This hands-on role requires exceptional coding skills, a passion for technology and engineering excellence, and the ability to guide and mentor a team of engineers. You will play a key role in defining and maintaining our technical architecture with lead architect, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability requirements. Focusing on customer, associate and business needs, this team works with Walmart International, which includes more than 5,200 retail units, operating in 23 countries such as Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Mexico and South Africa to name a few.

  • Understand project requirements and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Communicate status and issues to appropriate team members and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project team and cross-functional teams.
  • Identify areas of opportunity, interpret information and identify a solution.
  • Ensure solution is sustainable across implementation and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information and performing root cause analysis.
  • Understand business requirements and align with product team on the acceptance criteria.
  • Develop the application based on the user story defined and demo to business.
  • Ensure a minimum code coverage of 85%.
  • Develop applications which are scalable, reliable and have good user experience.
  • 7+ years of strong hands-on experience in Frontend development framework.
  • Proficient in Programming Languages: React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms: Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area.
  • 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences.
  • Knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies and integrating digital accessibility.
