Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom ServiceNow solutions.
• Research and develop new ServiceNow functionalities.
• Support the implementation of out-of-the-box ServiceNow products.
• Support University staff in troubleshooting ServiceNow issues.
• Interface with vendors on complex project engagements.
• Act as ServiceNow technical lead on project engagements of any size.
• Maintain an instance with many custom ServiceNow applications.
• Write documentation for capabilities on the platform.
• Mentor junior developers and assist with project work of any size.
• Help with quality assurance work for the ServiceNow team.
• Manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in high-pressure environments.
• Integrate third-party products with existing ServiceNow infrastructure.
• Work with internal customers to gather business processes and project requirements.
• Perform miscellaneous projects as assigned.
• Update technical skills as required.

Requirements

• Typically requires a technical university degree or equivalent experience.
• Requires at least 5 years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform.
• Excellent understanding of ServiceNow issue troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Commitment to quality through the ability to translate complex technical requirements into functional software using best practices to write high-quality code.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work equally well in self-managed and team-based Agile projects.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to other team members.

Nice-to-haves

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator Certificate or equivalent experience.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Certificate or equivalent experience.
• Jira Agile/Scrum project development experience.
• IDM/OSSO experience.
• SQL, Oracle, or other database interface experience.
