About the position

Join our dynamic Accounts team at Wise, where we build the infrastructure that empowers millions of customers to seamlessly manage their finances across borders. As a Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing systems that facilitate international money transfers across 160 countries and 40 currencies. You will be instrumental in creating efficient and secure solutions that enhance our users' experiences in handling their global finances.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain systems leveraging Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
  • Implement and enhance account management features to improve international transactions.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to improve user interface and experience.
  • Engage in query optimization and schema design for relational databases.
  • Utilize testing frameworks like JUnit and Spock to ensure software reliability.
  • Work closely with team members and communicate effectively with other teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers and maintain high-quality code standards.
  • Use Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and implement CI/CD pipelines.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends to improve product features.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
  • Experience in front-end development using React.
  • Familiarity with caching solutions like Redis and Caffeine.
  • Willingness to travel and collaborate with team members in different global offices.
