As a Software Engineer Senior you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on the Software Engineer Senior joining our team to design, develop, evaluate, plan and test engineering specifications for software programs and applications for the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) Program. This role will support the USCENTCOM J6 in Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, evaluates, plans and tests engineering specifications for software programs and applications
  • Designs web infrastructure, development and maintenance of software applications, web applications, web services, and APIs
  • Code analysis and collaborate with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and provide technical expertise
  • Ensures development meets software standards and security compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • CompTIA certification required for DoD 8570 compliance
  • Experience in developing cloud applications, with preference for Azure expertise with Cloud migration preferably in Azure Cloud
  • Excellent in ASP.NET, C#.NET and JavaScript for creating web applications and web services
  • Possess extensive web development experience utilizing C#.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, JSON, JQuery, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Demonstrate proficiency in SQL server development, stored procedures, and T-SQL
  • Exhibit understanding of OAuth authorization services in ASP.Net Core
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or GitLab in developing CI/CD pipeline
  • Exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with service desk ticketing process and escalations process
  • Knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense security requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures is beneficial
