About the position
ByteDance is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team, which plays a crucial role in ensuring the company's success. The selected candidate will work on the entire system testing process, including analysis, design, executing test plans and cases, and conducting defect tracking to deliver innovative and high-quality core product features to the TikTok App. This position involves developing, maintaining, and executing software quality assurance test requirements, plans, scenarios, cases, and scripts starting at the design phase through the test phase for assigned ongoing sustainment and project work. The role also includes facilitating the successful release of TikTok App features and enhancements from development to production through effective testing, delivering continuous quality at speed. The candidate will develop automation, new features, and regression test cases, and build CI/CD related work while tracking, analyzing, and conducting troubleshooting via online and offline channels. Participation in requirements and design reviews and product planning sessions is essential to proactively validate appropriate applicability, usability, and testability. The candidate will review functional and technical specifications for accuracy, feasibility, testability, and clarity, and utilize and follow current test management standards and practices. Manual validation across platforms and creating thorough test modules will also be part of the responsibilities. Close collaboration with developers, product, and program managers to test and validate new features is expected, along with validating changes and performing targeted regression tests against releases, identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs through resolution. Additionally, the candidate will mentor junior-level engineers and interns.
