About the position

The Senior User Experience Designer plays a crucial role in delivering user-centered designs for various digital platforms, including web and mobile applications. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentorship of junior designers, and acting as a customer advocate by leveraging insights from research and analytics. The designer will lead workshops, analyze usability, and produce documentation to communicate design concepts effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver user-centered designs for web, mobile web, and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with creative design, business stakeholders, and development teams.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other UXA resources.
  • Act as the customer advocate using insights from research and analytics.
  • Translate business and user needs into engaging user experiences.
  • Lead workshops and brainstorming sessions to gather UX insights.
  • Identify research requirements and work with the customer research team to execute studies.
  • Analyze findings to refine design strategies.
  • Conduct competitive analyses and heuristic evaluations.
  • Assess usability and suggest changes for new and existing features.
  • Collaborate with UX, creative, and development teams to implement user experience solutions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of web and app UX best practices.
  • Produce documentation, including presentations, wireframes, and prototypes, to communicate design concepts.
  • Engage in design reviews with stakeholders to gather feedback.
  • Interact comfortably with executives and senior leadership.
  • Proactively resolve challenges with minimal supervision.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Lead projects independently and mentor other UXA resources.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in user experience design for web and mobile applications.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable design improvements.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience in leading workshops and brainstorming sessions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience in eCommerce design.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
