Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Sr Principal Software Engineer. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, Colorado and will support the Sentinel program.

Responsibilities

  • Developing front end Software applications.
  • Developing back-end Software applications.
  • Creating servers and databases for functionality.
  • Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
  • Working alongside graphic designers for web design features.
  • Designing and developing APIs.
  • Staying abreast of developments in programming languages.
  • Evaluation of COTS products that may contribute to the end product.

Requirements

  • 8 Years with Bachelor's in related field of study, 6 Years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance - a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
  • US Citizenship with Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • Proficient in C, C++ or Assembly.
  • Thorough understanding of Operating Systems such as VxWorks and Linux.
  • An understanding in hardware architecture.
  • Hands-on experience working with a Real Time Operating System (RTOS).
