Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Sr Principal Software Engineer. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, Colorado and will support the Sentinel program.
Responsibilities
- Developing front end Software applications.
- Developing back-end Software applications.
- Creating servers and databases for functionality.
- Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
- Working alongside graphic designers for web design features.
- Designing and developing APIs.
- Staying abreast of developments in programming languages.
- Evaluation of COTS products that may contribute to the end product.
Requirements
- 8 Years with Bachelor's in related field of study, 6 Years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
- Active DoD Secret clearance - a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
- US Citizenship with Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
- Proficient in C, C++ or Assembly.
- Thorough understanding of Operating Systems such as VxWorks and Linux.
- An understanding in hardware architecture.
- Hands-on experience working with a Real Time Operating System (RTOS).
