Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Sr. Principal Engineer Software – 14641*. This position will be located on-site in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program. The selected candidate will design, develop, test, integrate, document, and deliver software in support of the Sentinel Physical Security team. The candidate may have a leadership role in the team as an engineer, coach, and mentor to less experienced team members. This is a hands-on technical position--a deep understanding of software engineering is required.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Science with 8+ years of experience, Masters in Science with 6 years of experience, PhD with 4 years of experience or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design principles.
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented languages such as C++ or Java.

Nice-to-haves

  • Current Special Program Access (SAP).
  • Experience with modern web technologies, virtual machines and containerized applications.
