Server Product Architect

Qualcomm Data Center team is developing High performance, Energy efficient server solution for data center applications. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with chip and platform architects to define and develop Product and SoC architecture
• Develop server roadmap and feature set across one or more architecture domains
• Analytical modeling of key server KPIs for performance, power, area, cost, RAS, etc.
• Create detailed architecture specification documents
• Must have good communication skills and able to work in dynamic environment with top level engineers and technologists

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 15 years of experience in semiconductor product development
• Over 15 years of experience in architecture of CPU and/or SoCs, and at least 7 years of experience with a high-performance server chip
• Strong expertise in multiple architecture domains of a server SoC
• Experience in making PPA, cost, feature and schedule trade-offs to define product architecture
• Strong fundamentals in digital ASIC design and power of CMOS circuits
• Strong technical documentation skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 15+ years in CPU and/or SoC architecture
• Deep understanding of CPU architecture and the KPIs for leadership server products
• Experience in commercializing server products with proven ability to influence next-generation architectures
• Experience in architecting products using chiplets and various package integration technologies
• Strong expertise across multiple SoC architecture domains like coherency management, memory system, IO architecture, Power management and Security
• Experience with RAS, Debug and Test architecture for datacenter products
• Experience with ARM architecture including server architectures is a plus
• Proven track record in delivering hyperscale data center solutions
