About the position

Saltwater Social is a new seafood-inspired restaurant that combines a modern dining experience with a chic lounge atmosphere. The restaurant aims to provide a dynamic fine dining experience, emphasizing social interaction and a vibrant ambiance, complete with a DJ to enhance the atmosphere. The role of a server is crucial in ensuring guests have a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience, with responsibilities ranging from taking orders to delivering food and beverages, and maintaining service areas.

Responsibilities

• Make guests feel comfortable and enhance guest experience
• Inform guests of specials and menu changes
• Be knowledgeable of menu and make recommendations
• Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter into point-of-sale
• Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner
• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as assigned by immediate supervisor
• Maintain clean service areas
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience
• Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service
• Respond promptly and courteously to any requests
• Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change
• Assist fellow servers and bussers as needed
• Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
• Fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
• Work on your feet for long periods of time
• Lift and carry trays
• Work holidays and weekends

• Experience in fine dining
