About the position

The Shop Mechanic at PAR Western Line Contractors, LLC is responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues in units, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role requires a blend of technical skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect units for faults and repairs.
• Repair equipment in a timely manner.
• Fill out part request forms and monitor work orders.
• Perform road tests and functionality tests of units to ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to operate hand and pneumatic tools.
• Experience in conducting routine services and vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to create and complete work orders.
• Understanding of the capacity model and adherence to company work safety policies.
• Willingness to undertake further certifications as needed.
• Ability to multi-task and work well independently and in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office).
• Excellent time management skills.
• Critical thinking and above average problem-solving skills.
