About the position
The Embedded Software Development Engineer will be responsible for building and owning server-related firmware for AWS Infrastructure Services. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team of engineers to develop innovative solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of AWS data center infrastructure. The engineer will work on both embedded software and large-scale distributed systems, contributing to the continuous improvement of AWS services.
Responsibilities
- Develop services and tools that help internal Amazonians deliver work faster.
- Create automation services and tools that impact hundreds of builders within Amazon.
- Develop software for AWS Builders to speed up their deliverables.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Nice-to-haves
- 4+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
