This Software development position with Amazon Lists is a fit for someone who enjoys and thrives owning low latency, highly available stacks/services requiring strong problem-solving skills, has a solid computer science foundation, knowledge of backend design patterns, APIs and takes pride in operations excellence. Successful candidates must also be innovative, flexible, self-directed, and able to design and write high-performance, reliable, maintainable code. This role requires the ability to creatively deal with ambiguity, be data-driven and juggle cross-organization complexity. Responsibilities

  • Work on front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
  • Utilize JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React
  • Work with AWS offerings such as EC2, ELB, DynamoDB, Fargate, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, Cloudwatch
  • Design and architecture of new and existing systems focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
