About the position

Develops and supports software for Experian Fraud business unit including the Precise ID suite. This entails new code for added features and also updating of the existing code base; Plan, design, and develop solutions on onprem infrastructure as well as AWS. Take ownership of all SDLC phases of assigned projects with complex and changing requirements; Lead efforts in modernizing legacy systems, such as mainframe, to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability of applications within Fraud detection space; Monitor software applications to maintain service level agreements with Splunk, Dynatrace etc. and identify issues at application, database, and infrastructure level to unblock hurdles; Adhere to best practices and coding standards, coordinate and drive technical efforts that involve multiple teams, and create comprehensive documentation for developed systems and processes; Meet with stakeholders to conduct required in-depth discussions about proposed technical designs and derive requirement specifications, following an Agile SDLC; Work with other Fraud Development team members to resolve blockers through providing technical solutions. May telecommute.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Development Engineer Senior-related occupation.
  • Experience understanding patterns and layouts to map data from legacy database environments.
  • Experience with Java programming, Spring Framework, Kafka, SQL DB.
  • Ability to design new functionality.
  • Experience designing a streaming consumer solution considering compliance regulations.
  • Experience creating software for migration of mainframe systems to newer technology stack.
  • Experience with AWS focused on low cost and highly resilient solutions.
