Software Development Engineer, Test

About the position

We are looking for a candidate who can work alongside engineering teams to work on improving performance of Apple Services. As part of Services Performance, the candidate will have exposure to learn about end-to-end flows including client and server interaction. This role requires the candidate to work on multiple HW platforms like iPhone, AppleTV, HomePod, Mac, and Watch. This will have a direct impact on how our customers use our products and services.

Responsibilities

• Understand design of a service to lead performance from a quality perspective.
• Define KPIs.
• Write key test scenarios.
• Manage automation pipelines.
• Monitor KPIs to flag concerns as necessary.
• Improvise current design by providing technical inputs to engineering teams.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of scenarios and call flows.
• Propose optimizations to improve user experience.
• Propose relevant telemetry as needed.

Requirements

• B.S in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficient in automation with strong handle on scripting languages like Python and Shell.
• Knowledge of Xcode and Splunk dashboard skills are a plus.
• Experience in working in a team culture.
• Strong communication and soft skills.
