Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software solutions for port management.
  • Aid in the design of software architecture centered around microservices, developing deployment, containerized, and coding strategies that will scale and adapt to business needs both on the cloud and on-prem.
  • Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and methodologies, make proposals of benefits and costs to decision-makers, and watch as theory becomes practice.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams through SCRUM to design and implement agile solutions for complex maritime challenges.
  • Mentor developers, sharing your knowledge and ensuring that future generations of developers will practice and propagate this knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development, with a preference on C#, SQL, and TypeScript.
  • Language-specific experience is not a must, more emphasis is placed on overall skill in programming and the ability to learn a new language.
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as LINQ, .NET, and Angular are a plus.
  • Competence with Git.
  • The ability to communicate abstract concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in the maritime industry, particularly in port operations or maritime logistics, would be highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and logistical industry practices is also advantageous.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with designing and configuring solutions for both on-premises and Azure cloud deployments, including infrastructure setup, networking configurations, security protocols, and deployment strategies would be an asset.
