About the position

APPLE INC has the following available in New York, New York. Develop resilient, high-volume, transactional commerce systems distributed globally across different data centers. Responsible for high-volume deployment infrastructure. Work with Structured Query Languages (SQL) and Oracle relational database systems including data modeling to add new integrations and re-imagine existing processes to accommodate developing features and architectures. Build and use distributed software systems, distributed caching, and distributed key-value stores to implement complex commerce functions such as tax, royalty, and revenue calculation for various countries throughout the globe. Implement and support highly scalable applications and web services in Java to ensure maximum performance out of large software systems with high transaction rates, software performance tuning, and profiling. Update and maintain various datasets in commerce, transactional, and reporting databases. Develop micro services to make commerce functionality available to other teams through well-defined APIs. Interface with other teams and partners to design and implement optimal solutions. Develop smart software to test complex world-wide commerce modules. Participate in design discussions and code reviews to ensure good quality software in production. Guide and mentor new team members on latest technologies used at Apple Media Products (AMP) Commerce.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 1 year of experience with SQL concepts and technologies.
  • 1 year of experience with NoSQL concepts and technologies.
  • 1 year of experience with Service Oriented Architecture.
  • 1 year of experience with Micro Services.
  • 1 year of experience developing regression test concepts/solutions for monolithic systems.
  • 1 year of experience with high-volume deployment infrastructure.
  • 1 year of experience with Object-oriented programming in Java.
  • 1 year of experience with application servers such as J2EE server.
  • 1 year of experience with TDD (Test Driven Development).
