The Hawkeye team is primarily responsible for providing the indexing infrastructure required for search, browse and download capabilities for many of the mission critical workloads in Rubrik. VMware, Hyper-V, Fileset are some sample workloads that are protected and managed by Rubrik. The Hawkeye team is also responsible for providing indexing infrastructure for ML based security applications that Rubrik provides to customers. This is one of the most critical services in Rubrik and helps customers locate their data among the large scale and variety of workloads that they protect using Rubrik.

Responsibilities

  • Full stack ownership including design, implementation, and testing of new features that are reliable and performant
  • Troubleshoot issues experienced by customers and internal product testing, and providing robust solutions
  • Collaborate with partner teams such as Product Management and Support to define the product vision and roadmap
  • Nurture team culture, which sets high standards and achieves them through collaboration

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer science or related field with 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Required experience working with file system internals and low level systems programming
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: C/C++, Go, Scala, Python or Java
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems design
  • Enjoy learning new technologies continuously and rapidly reinventing your skill set
  • Experience working with two or more from the following: Unix/Linux environments, Windows environments, distributed systems, networking, developing software systems, file systems, hypervisors and/or security software development
