Join Collins Aerospace as an entry level Software Engineer, and work with the Software Technologies team within the Mission Systems C4I&A organization. We are looking for a strong, passionate problem-solver with an action-oriented, collaborative mindset who strives to exceed expectations. In this role, you will participate in software engineering activities that design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain software solutions for various communication systems products. This position will be at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered. This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

  • Design, develop, and enhance software solutions for communication and cyber intelligence systems with guidance.
  • Test software in an Agile development environment.
  • Work directly with Senior software engineers, project engineers, and supporting organizations to ensure successful software project execution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Collins development processes and standard work requirements.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Educational knowledge and project application on software development using C++, including debugging, integration, and deployment on software platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge in basic Linux shell scripting, Python or Perl.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as C++ or C#.
  • Software level debugging experience.
  • Experience with Database technologies.
  • Familiarity with Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, and Coverity.
  • Knowledge in VHDL or Verilog for FPGA's.
