As a Software Engineer II, you will work on database management, web APIs, and software automation to ensure accurate and reliable data handling.   • Manage and maintain AWS-based database infrastructure, design dashboards, and write SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
  • Develop, maintain, and integrate web APIs, handling XML and JSON payloads, transforming data with XSLT, and generating structured reports using XSL-FO and Python-based libraries.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of XSD schemas to validate XML data, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including non-technical stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Perform software maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements across systems.
  • Continuously learn and apply new technologies to support team and project objectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience writing SQL queries, managing databases in cloud environments (preferably AWS), or developing/integrating RESTful web APIs.
  • Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language, ideally Python.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation to streamline repetitive tasks.
  • Basic understanding or interest in building science, energy codes, or energy code compliance workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to learn domain-specific concepts quickly.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Annual salary ranging from $76,516 – $107,122.
