Software Engineer - Platform

About the position

Refuel's platform enables enterprises to clean, enrich and label their mountains of messy, unstructured data at superhuman accuracy, by leveraging state-of-the-art LLMs. Recognizing merchants in credit card transactions, parsing candidate resumes, enriching business profiles, standardizing product catalogs - these are just a few examples of applications that our users are building with Refuel, and we're just getting started. With LLMs, we believe we can solve this data quality bottleneck for every single enterprise in the world, and accelerate the era of AI abundance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain critical platform features from idea to completion, ensuring they meet our standards for scalability, performance, and user experience
• Work closely with our machine learning and product teams to design APIs and implement new features in response to user feedback
• Rapidly prototype and refine Refuel's applied AI functionalities to make sure we are the best in class platform for enterprises to clean, enhance and label data at scale
• Help spearhead the direction of our engineering team as we scale

Requirements

• A strong technical background in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency with Python, and prior experience building data-intensive applications on cloud environments such as AWS or GCP is a big plus
• Prior experience with LLMs, or infrastructure & tooling ecosystem around LLMs (Axolotl, vLLM, Langchain, DSPy, evaluation frameworks etc) is a big plus
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work in a collaborative environment
• A curiosity about the early startup and company building journey
