About the position

At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming extraordinary products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. The UX designer will play an important role in creating mission-critical enterprise solutions for users. This role involves working closely with other designers, developers, product managers, and stakeholders to uphold Apple principles that form the foundation of elegant, efficient, intuitive, and delightful products. The designer will be responsible for building elegant UX experiences that are simple, intuitive, and impactful, while working in a rapidly changing environment with tight deadlines and limited resources.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with users and cross-functional teams to gather requirements through the discovery process, including conducting interviews, discussions, and other user research methods.
  • Facilitating brainstorming sessions and generating a diverse range of innovative ideas and concepts.
  • Creating information architecture, wireframes, and clickable prototypes to visualize and validate ideas and gather user feedback.
  • Collaborating with developers to create a final product that aligns with design specifications and Apple accessibility standards and design systems.
  • Managing and evolving data platform specific enterprise design system for consistency, scalability, and reusability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in user-centered design with hands-on experience throughout the process, from user research to developing prototypes and collaborating on product development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a design-related discipline such as Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction design, or equivalent experience.
  • A strong design portfolio highlighting the design process to solve business problems.
  • Proficiency in using Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, and similar design tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience of designing enterprise-grade applications.
  • Strong grasp of user-centered design methodologies.
  • Experience in facilitating user interviews and design workshops.
  • Expertise in wireframing, prototyping, and data visualization techniques.
  • Good understanding of visual design principles like color theory, typography, and layout.
  • Ability to clearly communicate design concepts to stakeholders.
  • A good understanding of the Apple design aesthetics, HI guidelines, and standards is a plus.
