About the position
At DXC Technology, we are looking for a skilled software developer to join our team. The primary focus of this role will be to develop and maintain backend services and APIs. You will implement server-side logic and functionality using Python and related frameworks, design and implement both RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints, and build integrations with internal and external systems. Collaboration with frontend developers is essential to ensure seamless API integration, and you may also contribute to frontend development using React and TypeScript when needed. You will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the stack, following established coding standards, architectural patterns, and security practices. Additionally, you will create and maintain comprehensive documentation for services, APIs, and components, implement security best practices, build comprehensive testing strategies, troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the application stack, and work with database design, optimization, and query performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs as primary focus
- Implement server-side logic and functionality using Python and related frameworks

- Build comprehensive testing strategies across backend and frontend systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the application stack

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- Proficiency in Python and related backend frameworks
- Experience with both RESTful API and GraphQL design and implementation
- Strong understanding of database concepts, SQL, and query optimization
- Experience with Git, Linux, WSL, Docker/containerization concepts
- Understanding of web security best practices
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with microservices concepts and architecture
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

- Experience with TypeScript and React
- Knowledge of Tailwind CSS or similar utility-first CSS frameworks
- Understanding of responsive design principles
