The Hyperscale Azure Networking team is responsible for developing, deploying, and operating the software and network devices that connect Microsoft's largest services, including the Azure Public Cloud and Microsoft 365. We write the code for the network services ranging from networking monitoring, the distributed systems that control our software defined and physical network, and the SONiC firmware that runs many of our physical switches. We design cloud-scale networks and data centers that provide petabits of connectivity at low cost and high reliability, from the optical systems on up. Our team is focused on providing automation platform for making our network safer by reducing human touches and healthier by fast and reliable auto-mitigation of network impacting events. Are you passionate about building systems that make a real impact? The NetAssist team within Azure Networking is on a mission to transform how we manage and protect our network infrastructure—and we’re looking for a Software Engineer to help us get there. As part of NetAssist, you’ll contribute to the development of an advanced automation platform designed to enhance network safety by minimizing manual interventions and improve network health through fast, reliable auto-mitigation of network-impacting events. This is a high-impact role where your work will directly influence the resilience and reliability of our global network. You’ll collaborate with a talented team of engineers to design scalable solutions, drive innovation, and solve complex challenges in real-time network operations.
