Software Engineer

About the position

Klarity (YC S18) automates Unstructured-Document workflows using GenAI. Our vision is a future of Exponential Organizations - companies that can hyper-scale without vast operational teams of humans reading documents. Our customers include companies like Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, DoorDash, and Zoom. They use Klarity to 1) save time and money, 2) reduce compliance risk, and 3) speed up manual contract review. But talk is cheap, so try our demo! We found strong Product Market Fit in 2020 and just raised a $70m Series B in June 2024. We are looking to add a brilliant, entrepreneurial Senior Software Engineer to the team!

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy scalable full-stack systems to tackle complex challenges.
• Ensure robustness, maintainability, and high performance in software solutions.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine requirements and deliver impactful features.
• Embrace continuous integration and deployment in cloud-native environments.
• Proactively monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Implement best practices in coding standards, version control, testing, and deployment.
• Stay current with the latest in software engineering, especially around AI and LLM advancements.
• Continuously integrate emerging tools and methodologies to improve our platform.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in developing production-grade Python applications.
• Proficiency in building scalable enterprise systems using cloud-native infrastructures like AWS and GCP.
• Experience with containerization and asynchronous messaging frameworks (e.g. RabbitMQ).
• Demonstrated ability in delivering end-to-end features, from backend services to responsive user interfaces.
• Track record of mentoring and raising technical standards within engineering teams.
• Able to articulate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively across disciplines.
• Strong analytical capabilities for navigating complex challenges and delivering innovative solutions.
• A proactive, innovative mindset with an unyielding passion for AI.
• Adaptable, resilient, and ready to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
