About the position
The position focuses on developing and maintaining backend services and APIs, with a primary emphasis on implementing server-side logic and functionality using Python and related frameworks. The role involves designing and implementing both RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints, building integrations with internal and external systems, and collaborating with frontend developers to ensure seamless API integration. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to frontend development using React and TypeScript when needed, write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the stack, and follow established coding standards, architectural patterns, and security practices. The role also includes creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for services, APIs, and components, implementing security best practices, building comprehensive testing strategies across backend and frontend systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues throughout the application stack, and working with database design, optimization, and query performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs as primary focus

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- Proficiency in Python and related backend frameworks
- Experience with both RESTful API and GraphQL design and implementation
- Strong understanding of database concepts, SQL, and query optimization
- Experience with Git, Linux, WSL, Docker/containerization concepts
- Understanding of web security best practices
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with microservices concepts and architecture
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
