About the position

As a Software QA Engineer at Jitterbit, you will be using your expertise in enterprise product integrations to validate front-end, back-end and endpoint functionalities across our product components. You will define best practices and be the domain expert in Jitterbit product testing. Moreover, you will also establish and maintain test environments and assets across all supported configurations and endpoints. You will work with Product Management and Development teams to review requirements and design, providing feedback to identify bugs and potential improvements. Our tech stack includes Java, C#, .NET, Typescript, Knockout.js, Node.js, CSS3, Nginx, IIS, Docker/Kubernetes and 50+ supported endpoints such as DBs (Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, and others), CRM/ERPs, marketing/ecommerce systems, HTTP/OData protocols, messaging queues, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Validate front-end, back-end and endpoint functionalities across product components.
  • Define best practices for product testing.
  • Establish and maintain test environments and assets across all supported configurations and endpoints.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Development teams to review requirements and design.
  • Provide feedback to identify bugs and potential improvements.
  • Create and triage bugs and establish test metrics/reports.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in designing and executing complex test cases for frontend and backend components.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining test environments/test beds for release cycles.
  • Proficient in creating and triaging bugs as well as establishing test metrics/reports.
  • Experience using Scrum and contributing as a quality engineer in an agile development environment.
  • Working knowledge and/or experience testing iPaaS/SaaS-based products or other cloud technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize web APIs and technologies using SOAP, REST, JSON/XML.
  • Experience using a variety of toolsets, utilities, and scripts during test execution (e.g. Postman, SoapUI, Datadog).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-directed and a process advocate.

Nice-to-haves

  • Test automation experience using Typescript or Python.
  • Experience working remotely with widely distributed teams.
