Specialty Software Engineer 3 - Contingent

About the position

In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Specialty Software Engineering. You will contribute to large-scale planning related to Specialty Software Engineering deliverables, review and analyze challenges requiring in-depth evaluation, and collaborate with client personnel to meet deliverables while adhering to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. This role involves a mix of legacy support and new platform development, focusing on modernizing risk applications and automating manual processes.

Responsibilities

• Consult on and contribute to moderately complex Specialty Software Engineering initiatives.
• Analyze and resolve challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Collaborate with client personnel to meet deliverables and compliance requirements.
• Build and maintain robust test automation frameworks.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Transform reporting processes using Power BI.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

Requirements

• 4+ years of QA experience, with at least 2 years in automation.
• Solid understanding of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives, etc.) and the front-to-back trade lifecycle.
• Experience with SQL for data validation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language like Python or KSH.
• Experience with automation tools and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
• Understanding of over-the-counter traded products in capital markets.
