About the position

The Senior Manager - Market Development & Product Marketing is responsible for owning the strategic global marketing plan, aligned with the commercial organization, to drive growth, fuel demand generation and improve win rate in the Service, Software and hardware product lines. This position reports to the Senior Director - Global market development and is part of the Global Strategic Marketing team located in Manchester, UK (Framingham or Concord) and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and motivate a team of Product line Marketing Managers to define the 1-3 year global market and marketing strategies, define requirements for customer workflows, and develop integrated campaigns, high value content and sales tools that deliver growth. You will continuously analyze the market to identify key growth opportunities, market trends, competitive intelligence, and the competitive landscape. Additionally, you will drive the creation of value propositions and competitive differentiated positioning for key SCIEX products/workflows, monitor business results to track key metrics within the market, and develop action plans and countermeasures to address shortfalls. Participation in innovation pipeline activities and conducting Customer Insight efforts will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate team of Product line Marketing Managers to define the 1-3 year global market and marketing strategies.
  • Define requirements for customer workflows (HW, SW and reagents) and develop integrated campaigns, high value content and sales tools, both physical and digital, that deliver growth.
  • Continuously analyze the market to identify key growth opportunities, market trends, competitive intelligence and the competitive landscape.
  • Drive creation of value propositions and competitive differentiated positioning for key SCIEX products/workflows.
  • Monitor business results to track key metrics within the market, and develop action plans and countermeasures to address shortfalls.
  • Participate in innovation pipeline activities and conduct Customer Insight efforts (VOC collection) when needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (or equivalent).
  • Long standing relevant experience within Life Sciences.
  • Deep understanding of Life Sciences workflows.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of Life Sciences markets.
  • Proven background within Mass Spectrometry.
  • Proven experience within the scientific field - covering hardware, software and service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Direct team management experience.
  • Life science equipment service or software experience.
