About the position

The Senior Product Operations & Insights Analyst will be responsible for defining and tracking the metrics that drive product and business impact. This role will act as the liaison between the product and analytics teams, ensuring alignment on data priorities and insights. They will also lead board and executive-level reporting, establish baseline metrics, and drive quarterly and annual forecasting to inform strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, financial modeling, and business intelligence, with a proven ability to uncover and communicate strategic opportunities through data. This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office) and is located in Austin, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Define, track, and optimize key product and business metrics to measure performance, engagement, and growth across Auctane’s product portfolio.
  • Establish data-driven frameworks that enable the product team to prioritize initiatives based on measurable impact.
  • Build and maintain product metric waterfalls and cohort analyses to understand user behavior, retention, and monetization.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, diagnose issues, and identify strategic areas of opportunity within the Auctane product portfolio.
  • Own the Auctane Product Organization’s performance reporting to the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Develop clear and compelling data-driven narratives that communicate business impact, trends, and opportunities to executives.
  • Standardize board-ready dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clarity in key performance updates.
  • Work closely with finance and analytics teams to align financial forecasting and revenue impact models with product initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary bridge between product and analytics, ensuring alignment on data priorities, methodologies, and insights.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and data science teams to improve data instrumentation and tracking.
  • Work with product managers to define and validate baseline metrics, setting clear quarterly and annual targets for performance measurement.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for product teams, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Develop and refine experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, feature impact analysis, etc.) to optimize product decisions.
  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards that provide real-time visibility into product and business performance.
  • Establish baselines for key product and business metrics, ensuring teams have clear benchmarks for measuring success.
  • Lead quarterly and annual forecasting efforts, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals and business strategy.
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, and accuracy across all reporting systems.
  • Prepare and present data-driven recommendations to the Product team.
  • Identify and quantify new opportunities for revenue growth, user engagement, and operational efficiency.
  • Create predictive models and scenario planning tools to support strategic decision-making.
  • Establish best practices for measuring success and defining ROI on product investments.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics, product analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis.
  • Expertise in BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Amplitude, or similar) for dashboard creation and reporting.
  • Deep understanding of financial modeling, revenue analysis, and strategic forecasting.
  • Experience presenting insights to the Board of Directors and ELT, with a strong ability to communicate complex data clearly.
  • Strong background in A/B testing, cohort analysis, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Proven ability to translate data into compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with a data-driven and business-impact mindset.

Nice-to-haves

  • Data analysis in SQL, presentation of data.
  • Experience working with an income statement or knowledge about revenue and business drivers.
  • Presenting data in a BI tool (preferably Looker).
  • Modeling the financial impact of strategic initiatives, including sensitivity analysis.
  • Generalized linear modeling or clustering.
  • Relational database concepts with expert knowledge of SQL.
  • Modeling investment opportunity or financial planning.
  • One or more (1+) years of experience managing and developing business intelligence solutions, such as Tableau, Looker, or Sisense for Cloud Data Teams (preferably Looker).
  • Experience in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Strong track record of learning new tools, technologies, and frameworks.
  • Experience with building reports and dashboards in Salesforce.
