About the position
The App Store Engineering R&D team is looking for talented software engineers to work on the next generation of intelligent tools powering the App Store. This team has introduced a cultural and economic phenomenon with the App Store, which has changed the way people live, work, and play. The platform is home to over 1.5 million apps and handles billions of requests from more than 500 million visitors every week across various operating systems. The engineers build high-performance systems backed by robust testing to deliver a rich experience at this scale. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, high-energy individual with excellent communication skills, willing to question assumptions, take end-to-end ownership of features, and drive them to completion. Experience in developing large-scale server-side systems using object-oriented languages is essential. Additionally, the role involves building AI/ML-based workflows and integrating them into applications and features. An eagerness to learn is crucial, as prior knowledge of all areas is not required.
