About the position
CBS Sports Digital provides premium online and mobile content to the connected sports fan, including live and on-demand video, in-depth analysis, breaking news, and scores and statistics across high school, college, and pro sports. CBSSports.com is part of CBS Interactive's portfolio of multi-platform brands, which includes premier Fantasy offerings, high school sports leader MaxPreps, and college sports recruiting leader 247Sports. We are looking for a skilled senior iOS software developer with a natural inclination to elegantly solve problems. You will get the chance to take on complex and interesting problems as part of a fast-paced, highly collaborative team. We are constantly evaluating and adapting the latest and greatest on the iOS/iPadOS platforms and there's always something new to learn.
Responsibilities
- Technical development, debugging, and delivery of best-in-class iOS native application
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Continuously improve the application - find and fix bugs while improving application performance
- Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Evaluate opportunities to bring new features to mobile users from a technical perspective
- Build strong working relationships with coworkers and company management
- Contribute to the growth and knowledge of the development team through code reviews and team discussions
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years mobile software development
- Acted as key contributor to at least one publicly released native iOS application
- Thorough knowledge of Swift and Objective-C programming languages, the iOS platform and Xcode
- Strong knowledge of UIKit and SwiftUI
- Experience in consuming RESTful APIs to connect with back-end services
Nice-to-haves
- BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
- Experience integrating ad serving products and analytics/reporting tools in building iOS apps
- Experience working with Agile development processes
- Experience working with GraphQL and Apollo framework
