As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a significant part in leading and owning the design and implementation of new features for various parts of our open and closed loop payment network, leveraging modern cloud technologies and best practices. You will also play a crucial role in reviewing the current test automation framework, enhancing its robustness, and enabling self-service by the team. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

  • Conduct detailed review of current test automation framework and enhance comprehensive test coverage, reliability and self-service capabilities to improve efficiency and effectiveness in automated testing
  • Conduct technology evaluations and provide recommendations for new tools, technologies, and frameworks to uplift engineering excellence and operations
  • Develop highly resilient and highly available components for the payment system based on microservices-based architecture using domain-driven design principles
  • Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to ensure system performance and availability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, architects, and product managers across the organization
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on test automation and feature development (BDD, Gherkin, Cucumber)
  • 5+ years of experience programming in languages such as .NET/C#, Java, Python, or Node.js, and experience with modern frameworks and libraries
  • 3+ years of experience in building microservices-based architectures using domain-driven design principles
  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps principles, security best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and working knowledge of automation tools (like Jenkins, Data Dog, Terraform, PagerDuty, ServiceNow)
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with Payment industry standards, protocols, and security best practices
  • Good working knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud Platform, including knowledge about serverless architectures, containers, and orchestration
  • Familiarity in programming languages such as PL/SQL and experience with modern database engineering practices
  • Proven solid problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound technical decisions in a dynamic environment
  • Proven excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams
