Sr. Software Engineer

About the position

The Sr. Software Engineer will be a key member of the development team at Trend Micro, responsible for innovating on our Vision One platform and enhancing our SaaS and on-prem security products. This position requires excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build highly interactive, responsive web applications that meet the demands of our users and align with our product roadmap.
• Collaborate with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Back-End Developers to deliver compelling user-facing products.
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies, contributing to feature development and process improvement.
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues to improve application efficiency.
• Design and implement automated tests using frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Robot Framework to ensure the stability and reliability of software components.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in front-end development.
• Solid fundamentals in JavaScript, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6.
• Experience with HTML/CSS, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.
• Experience in building single-page applications using React and understanding of front-end application frameworks.
• Experience with module bundlers such as Webpack and Rollup.
• Skills in optimizing front-end performance through efficient dependency management and data access patterns.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to deliver effective solutions, strong cross-team collaboration, and ability to work independently.
• Fast learner with a strong passion for learning new technologies.
