About the position
As Bayer Crop Science's digital farming arm, we advance regenerative agriculture and technology breakthroughs using the latest agronomic science, data science, engineering, and real-world farming experience. With groundbreaking technologies like Climate FieldView and our ForGround regenerative agriculture platform, our team is a part of some of the most important advancements in agriculture. We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead product management for two Platform Services teams (a.k.a. our core infrastructure teams). As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will drive the innovation and evolution of our cloud and infrastructure products that ultimately enable farmers around the world to obtain and utilize our digital tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop and articulate a clear vision and strategy for our cloud infrastructure products, aligning with the company's overall strategic goals.
- Manage Database Services, Container Orchestration Services, CI/CD Pipeline Solutions, Identity and Access Management Frameworks, Disaster Recovery & Backup Solutions.
- Guide the team to treat infrastructure as a product, focusing on user needs and viewing internal systems as consumable products.
- Create and maintain a product roadmap that balances short-term deliverables with long-term vision, ensuring stakeholder alignment and managing expectations.
- Collaborate with the customers of our internal systems across the business to ensure we are developing and launching our products effectively.
- Prioritize product features and capabilities based on customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility within the ICE framework.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for cloud infrastructure products, using data to drive decisions and measure success.
- Lead and mentor infrastructure engineers to adopt a customer-focused mindset by fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- Experience designing and delivering large scale infrastructure projects
- In depth understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or commensurate experience
- Advanced technical acumen, with a deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), infrastructure as code (IAC), and modern DevOps practices
- Proven track record managing all aspects of a successful product lifecycle
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior executives
- Demonstrated experience using data analysis and metrics to inform product decisions
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience managing infrastructure teams
- Experience with the Scaled Agile framework
- Associate or Professional level AWS certification
- Experience working in Multi-Cloud Environment (AWS, Azure and GCP)
- 7+ years of experience in Technical Product Management with a focus on cloud infrastructure, platform services, or related technologies
