We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of secure and scalable infrastructure platforms. This role focuses on building systems that enable engineers to move quickly while maintaining strong security practices across compute, networking, identity, and policy enforcement. You will shape how access is managed, secrets are handled, and security is embedded throughout the platform. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, collaborates effectively across teams, and brings deep expertise in Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and security tooling. This position offers an opportunity to influence the engineering culture, mentor colleagues, and directly contribute to the growth of a high-impact platform.

  • Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of secure infrastructure platforms spanning compute, networking, identity, and access control.
  • Enhance and maintain the security posture of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, focusing on isolation, observability, and resilience.
  • Build and operate systems for secrets management, service-to-service authentication, and policy enforcement.
  • Define and codify best practices for infrastructure security, infrastructure-as-code, and software integrity.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate secure-by-default tooling and abstractions into workflows.
  • Drive automation for incident response, audit, and platform reliability improvements.
  • Mentor engineers and promote a culture of security-minded engineering across the organization.
  • 8+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering, with strong focus on secure infrastructure development.
  • Proficiency in Python and infrastructure-related programming.
  • Deep expertise with Kubernetes, including service mesh, admission controllers, observability, and RBAC.
  • Experience operating cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), including IAM, VPCs, and secure configuration management.
  • Skilled in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
  • Familiarity with secrets management (e.g., Vault), CI/CD hardening, and runtime/container security.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in distributed systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in fintech or regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI).
  • Building internal tools or reusable platform abstractions.
  • Salary Range: $235,000 - $300,000
  • Equity grants
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Unlimited PTO and flexible remote work
  • Commuter benefits
  • Free lunches
  • Paid parental leave
  • 401(k) plan
  • Employee assistance program
