About the position

As a Staff Software Engineer / Tech Lead, you will be at the helm of a talented, full-stack team, driving the end-to-end delivery of our core product. This is a hands-on role that combines deep technical expertise with a passion for leading, mentoring, and fostering a curious, AI-first engineering culture. You will have ownership of your team's domain, from technical strategy and architecture to product delivery and operational excellence. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of skilled software engineers, fostering a culture of curiosity, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and guide team members in their technical and professional development.
  • Drive the adoption of modern AI tools and methodologies to enhance end-to-end product development and boost team efficiencies.
  • Take complete ownership of the product, from ideation and technical design through to development, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Architect and build scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems using a modern tech stack.
  • Make critical technical decisions and ensure the team adheres to best practices in coding, testing, and security.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, 0-to-1 environment where speed and quality are paramount.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define product roadmaps and deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Play a key role in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in software engineering building products.
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing software engineering teams.
  • A track record of successfully delivering complex projects and mentoring engineers.
  • Experience in building and launching products, ideally in a B2B, hyper-growth, or 0-to-1 startup environment.
  • Proficiency in Python for building robust and scalable back-end services.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and React for creating modern, intuitive, and high-performance user interfaces.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
  • An ownership mindset and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A hunger for growth and eagerness to learn.
