About the position
At Podium, we're looking for a Staff AI Engineer who is interested in having an impact on how we deliver our AI Employee products to our customers to help go from converting leads to revenue. An engineer who is excited about AI and eager to make a significant impact to help architect and innovate. As an engineer at Podium, you'll have the chance to work on projects that directly shape the success of our platform and the businesses we support. You'll be part of an engineering team that collaborates across departments to solve real-world problems for small businesses at scale. You will help build scalable, high-performance systems and contribute to the continuous evolution of our platform by leveraging AI technologies. Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining robust, scalable systems that have a direct impact on the success of our products and the businesses we serve, with a focus on AI-driven solutions.
- Collaborating across teams, including Engineering, Sales, and Customer Support, to identify needs and create innovative AI solutions.
- Continuously improving the platform by implementing new AI features and technologies that enhance the user experience.
- Contributing to a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement, while staying ahead of trends in AI.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with expertise in modern programming languages.
- Passionate about AI with experience architecting and delivering impactful AI-driven features.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of driving innovation in fast-paced, iterative development environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across teams and articulate technical concepts effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and tackle ambiguous problems head-on.
Nice-to-haves
- 8+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of large-scale systems.
- Proven ability to innovate and deliver high-impact AI-driven solutions that shape the direction of a product.
