About the position

Kscholastic Inc is seeking part-time STEM tutors to provide in-person tutoring for high school students in various math and science subjects. The role requires tutors to have prior tutoring experience and the ability to teach subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Statistics, with a preference for AP level subjects. Tutors will work flexible hours, primarily after school and in the evenings, and must be able to travel to students' homes in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person tutoring for high school level math and science subjects.
• Assist students with understanding and mastering concepts in subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Statistics.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
• Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.
• Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate students' availability.

Requirements

• Prior tutoring experience in math and science subjects.
• Ability to tutor high school level subjects, with a preference for AP level.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills.
