About the position

The SVP of Marketing Enablement is responsible for empowering the marketing team with the tools, processes, and resources necessary to develop artists, foster fan relationships, and execute campaigns with maximum efficiency and impact. Drawing on their extensive marketing experience, the SVP will collaborate with the WMG Technology team to spearhead the development and integration of cutting-edge tools, platforms, and technologies that elevate WMG's marketing capabilities. This role also includes managing WMG's relationships with third-party marketing service providers, enabling our teams to leverage external expertise for high-volume initiatives and specialized needs. The SVP will also establish and optimize operational workflows across WMG's global, regional, and local marketing structures, ensuring seamless alignment and efficiency in processes worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Build a new Marketing Enablement specialism across WMG, providing all global, regional and local marketing teams with the right access to data, platforms, third party service providers and workflows.
  • Oversee WMG's approach to marketing tooling, including a full marketing tools audit and rationalization of the marketing tooling portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities in WMG's offering and partner with WMG Technology to design, develop, and implement required marketing tools, platforms, and technologies.
  • Oversee WMG's approach to third-party marketing service providers, ensuring access to specialized expertise and resources.
  • Complete a full marketing service provider audit and deliver a roadmap to rectify gaps in offerings across local, regional, and global teams.
  • Negotiate and manage global vendor relationships to optimize service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Partner with Tech to ensure that 1st & 3rd party data is stored in a centralized, organized, accurate, compliant, and fresh repository.
  • Formalize Marketing Operations globally with standardized workflows to enhance team performance, tools, and data usage.
  • Lead the marketing technology R&D roadmap, identifying emerging tools and trends to keep WMG at the forefront of innovation.
  • Define working processes and lines of responsibility between the Marketing Intelligence team and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing technology, with a strong track record in marketing operations or enablement.
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing marketing tools within a multinational company.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and initiatives.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working within creative or entertainment industries.
