About the position

The Temporary Sales Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the store's success by providing excellent customer service, maintaining a well-organized sales floor, and supporting inventory management. This position requires engaging with customers, processing transactions, and assisting with stockroom operations, all while embodying the Coach brand values.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at the cash wrap with a smile and maintain eye contact.
• Interact genuinely with customers to determine their needs.
• Conduct email/name capture where permitted by law.
• Maintain accuracy when operating the POS system and keep the cash wrap organized and clean.
• Suggest add-ons and sell gift cards to customers.
• Receive and process shipments and transfers, notifying management of new arrivals.
• Scan cartons and verify store information is correct, communicating discrepancies to management.
• Organize and clean the stockroom daily, managing stock levels and preparing for inventory counts.
• Analyze sales floor for replenishment needs and execute visual merchandising as directed.
• Communicate product information effectively to customers and respond to their requests confidently.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of previous retail experience, preferably in a luxury retail environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Knowledge of cash register systems and basic computer skills, including the ability to use mobile POS and iPads.
• Ability to execute tasks at a fast pace and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Physical ability to maneuver the sales floor and stockroom, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
