  • Support design transfer of optical communication products from R&D to production facilities.
  • Assemble, splice, and functionally test electro-optical modules and trays.
  • Assemble, splice, and functionally test SubCom underwater Repeaters, Branching Units, and WSS ROADM network elements.
  • Manufacture Open Cable Terminal Equipment products.
  • Manufacture optical fiber Bragg gratings used in underwater network elements.
  • Report to the CTES department engineering manager.
  • Be mentored by experienced staff engineers developing software applications, GUIs, and database parsers.
  • Be assigned software development project(s) commensurate with skill level.
  • Familiarity with software development Integrated Development Environments.
  • Exposure to laboratory test instruments and understanding of laboratory procedures and practices.
  • Typically a sophomore, junior, or senior student enrolled in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science curriculums.
  • Matriculating towards Bachelor of Science degrees.
