About the position

As a Product Designer at SpotOn, you'll create solutions that solve real-world experience challenges in an evolving ecosystem. You will play a crucial role in shaping and refining user experiences across our platforms, working closely with cross-functional teams, and driving measurable business outcomes through design thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with fellow product designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to execute design solutions across platforms.
  • Design user flows, wireframes, accessible high-fidelity UI, and prototypes for web and mobile interfaces that address user needs and align with strategic goals.
  • Apply systems thinking to ensure design consistency and scalability across multiple products and features.
  • Leverage user research and data-driven insights to inform design decisions and continuously refine solutions.
  • Participate in design critiques, team rituals, and collaborative workshops.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, clearly presenting design rationale and articulating how designs drive measurable business impact.
  • Apply feedback and iterate on design work to improve clarity, usability, and polish.
  • Apply SpotOn's design system to maintain consistency across products.
  • Support user research efforts and help synthesize insights into actionable recommendations.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in product design.
  • Experience designing mobile-first experiences; strong interaction design and systems thinking.
  • Can lead medium-sized features independently and contribute to cross-functional rituals.
  • Skilled at bringing ideas to life with Figma, and lightweight prototyping tools (e.g. Protopie, Framer, etc.).
  • Comfortable working with UXR or conducting lightweight discovery and usability testing.
  • Able to navigate ambiguity, ask good questions, and thrive in close partnership with PM and Eng.
  • Prior experience with labor scheduling, restaurant management tools, or similar B2B2C environments a plus.
  • Comfortable working with mobile design patterns (iOS/Android knowledge a plus).

Nice-to-haves

  • Exposure to HTML/CSS.
  • Interest and/or experience in the hospitality industry, restaurant tech, or SMB services.
  • Skills in motion design and illustration.
  • Familiarity with information architecture, content strategy, and UX Writing.
  • Experience working in service design.
