About the position

As a Product Designer at Slalom, you will collaborate with clients and internal teams to create differentiated human-centered experiences that benefit both people and businesses. Your role will involve prototyping both digital and physical experiences, iterating them based on user insights and client feedback. You will facilitate client white-boarding sessions, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings, sketching user flows and low-fidelity wireframes. Additionally, you will conduct card sorting activities to validate hypotheses about website taxonomy and information architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to create human-centered experiences.
  • Prototype digital and physical experiences based on user insights and client feedback.
  • Facilitate client white-boarding, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings.
  • Sketch user flows and low-fidelity wireframes.
  • Conduct card sorting activities to validate website taxonomy and information architecture.

Requirements

  • 2-7 years of experience in design expertise with ownership and innovative solutions.
  • Ability to balance business viability, human desirability, and technical feasibility.
  • Experience in structuring and executing qualitative and quantitative research plans.
  • Strong communication, thought leadership, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Understanding of responsive web and native design principles.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping software/tools such as Miro, Figma, Sketch, InVision.
  • Portfolio of case studies or work samples illustrating design approach and outcomes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Design Thinking and Rapid Prototyping.
  • Knowledge of Usability Testing and Process Design.
  • Familiarity with Journey Mapping and Service Design Blueprinting.
