About the position
Hivemapper is building the world's freshest map using street-level imagery contributed by a community of everyday drivers, large fleets, and everyone in between. We have over 70,000 contributors around the world, and have now mapped over 18M unique kilometers, or more than 30% of the world's roads. Our customers include commercial fleets, enterprise technology, mapping, autonomous vehicle robotaxis, rideshares, car manufacturers, and real estate. Beemaps is looking for an experienced and creative UX/UI Designer to join our team. As an UX/UI designer at Hivemapper, you’ll work closely with the go-to-market, product management, hardware, and engineering teams to envision the future of mapping!
Responsibilities
- Design user interfaces for web and mobile applications
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
- Quickly prototype ideas to assess viability
- Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries
- Ensure a cohesive UI while aligning final products with Beemaps’ brand identity
- Drive the complete product design lifecycle
- Understand user needs to deliver final design solutions
- Work closely with Engineering to ensure high-quality implementation
- Participate in design reviews and refine designs based on feedback
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies
Requirements
- 4-10 years of design experience at a product-driven tech company
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Illustrator
- Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role
- Strong portfolio showcasing design projects
- Ability to tackle complex and ambiguous problems with user-centered solutions
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Experience working on products related to mapping
- Experience in automotive or complex data sensor networks
- Experience with autonomous vehicles
