About the position

The UX / UI Designer plays a key role in creating intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences by combining user-centered design principles with strong visual and interaction design skills. This position relies heavily on synthesizing audience research, usability testing, and stakeholder collaboration to inform design decisions that align with both user needs and organizational goals. The UX/UI designer will work collaboratively with the UX and Digital Strategy team to uncover insights that drive strategy, improve user experience, and guide the development of effective digital solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Use market research, audience feedback and business requirements to develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of new or improved digital user interfaces.
  • Analyze usage metrics, feedback, and usability data to continuously iterate and enhance the user experience.
  • Collaborate on UX research efforts by providing guidance on questions and prototypes to use during testing.
  • Participate in all stages of the creative process from kick-off through strategy and design to understand the behaviors, motivations and pain points of our users to develop relevant and impactful digital experiences.
  • Practice a mobile-first design process to create responsive digital products.
  • Quickly iterate on design explorations to arrive at a simple, robust digital product.
  • Communicate designs to stakeholders and team members to address any feedback.
  • Partner and provide clear documentation to the development team on how prototypes will translate into live experiences.
  • Collaborate with Program Manager of UI / UX Design on maintaining and continually iterating on our newly developed design system and digital style guide.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years digital design experience working at agencies or in-house teams.
  • At least 3 years experience designing responsive websites (desktop, tablet, mobile) and/or mobile app experience.
  • At least 3 years experience with UX software such as Adobe XD, InVision, Axure, Sketch or other Adobe applications to design wireframes and prototypes.
  • Understanding of accessible design and ADA compliance implementation.
  • Knowledge of usertesting.com and other user research and design tools.
  • Familiarity with user personas and journey mapping.
  • Experience working with Agile development teams.
