About the position

The Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Revenue will develop and implement advertising and sales initiatives across multiple media platforms. Additionally, the VP will handle guest satisfaction issues and complaints, training the Front Desk staff and will advise upper management in the creation, development, analysis, implementation, and adaptation of budgetary matters and financial management policy.

Responsibilities

  • Propose advertising ideas and plans, presenting multiple options to discuss and develop further.
  • Implements advertising plans according to agreed-upon schedules, budgets, channels, and other parameters.
  • Compiles materials and coordinates activities related to special events.
  • Coordinates activities to ensure advertising and sales programs reach targeted customers in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develops and maintains files related to sales programs, weekly ads, and marketing and special event communications; ensures they are available for future reference.
  • Confers with vendors and brokers regarding the customer response to promotional programs and general market conditions.
  • Develops, implements, and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficacy of advertising campaigns; applies this data to determine appropriate next steps for current and future campaigns.
  • Oversees media posting, printing and production of advertising and sales materials.
  • Resolves Guest/Tenant Complaints.
  • Programs and Updates digital signage at each location.
  • Responsible for all website updates.
  • Responsible for all communication with 3rd party booking agents.
  • Responsible for partnering with General Managers in rate management.
  • Train Front Desk Staff on Reservation Call Procedure.
  • Assists budget manager by conducting various surveys, research, data analysis, cost-benefit analyses, and expenditure and revenue forecasting.
  • Attends and actively participates in committees, professional groups, and seminars to stay current regarding new developments and trends in budgeting and finance.
  • Monitors changes in the local, state, and federal tax laws, and actively monitors the local economy.
  • Provides information and answers to departments regarding budgets, forecasts, surveys, financial trends, and other requested data.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school degree required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
  • At least one year of experience involving the analytical research and reporting of complex financial data or any combination of relevant experience and education.
  • At least two years’ related experience required.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively toward a goal and complete work on schedule.
  • Highly creative and imaginative.
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and communicate data.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting and budgeting principles and practices, statistical methodology, generally accepted accounting principles, and generally accepted auditing standards.
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of financial analysis and economics.
  • Ability to skillfully perform detailed statistical analyses of budget activities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with various employees, vendors, stakeholders, and other interested personnel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or other similar software.
