Warehouse EDI Specialist - 1st Shift

About the position

The Warehouse EDI Specialist is responsible for receiving, processing, and transmitting all EDI orders received from outside vendors. This position is a full-time year-round role that involves working with a team that’s organized, respectful, and high-energy. The job includes using user-friendly scanners and technology, and there are opportunities for advancement as many leads started on the floor. Employees enjoy a 50% discount and occasional freebies. Responsibilities

• Download EDI orders from GE services into company system and print pick/pack lists with VCC-128 shipping labels
• Separate and prepare paperwork and labels for picking stage, ensuring updated pricing is included on pick lists
• Coordinate ship dates for accurate and timely shipment of orders
• Send Advance Ship Notices (ASNs) when shipment is completed
• Assist with setup of new vendors, including system troubleshooting and coordination with GE Services technicians
• Assist with picking, packing, and labeling of EDI orders as needed
• Assist with shipping and processing of freight orders as well as small packing shipping of UPS, FedEx, and USPS
• Create special labeling for selected vendors
• Report any conditions that need attention to appropriate department manager
• Follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety, including food safety, quality, sanitation, personnel, maintenance, and equipment
• Cross-train to work in other areas of the Warehouse as needed
• May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week periodically as business needs require
• Perform other job duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and stand for several hours at a time
• Must be computer literate (Microsoft Windows preferred) with strong attention to detail
• Must have experience with electrical and manual pallet jacks and forklifts
