About the position

The Water Spider is responsible for ensuring the continuous flow of materials and supplies to the production line, which is crucial for maintaining efficiency and minimizing downtime. This role involves close collaboration with production teams to support smooth operations and enhance overall productivity.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate trip Kanban cards in accordance with the Fortive Material System (FMS) standard.
• Transport materials, components, and supplies to and from the production line as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies and report shortages to the buyers.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures while handling materials.
• Identify opportunities to improve material handling processes and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist production teams with additional tasks as needed, including cycle counts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience as a pacer, water spider, floater, or equivalent experience.
